My first month Ampuversary by Winston

It has been ONE month since I had my amputation surgery! I am doing really well, but I am still a little nervous about going up and down the stairs. The stairs seem sort of hard unless I get a good start. Mom helps me, but I really want to do this myself.

I was able to spend time with my best friend Jenga yesterday. It was the first time she has been able to play with me since my surgery, and she didn’t seem to notice any difference in me at all. We had fun.

I am trying to figure out how to play with my toys, because I’m used to mom throwing them and I would catch them. I can’t really do that too much now, and it seems sort of scary for me to jump, so now I play with my chew bones.

Mom is taking me to physical therapy next week, and I am hoping that I can do some fun exercises to make sure that my other legs stay strong. I might even get to be in the water….we’ll see. I would really like that. ~ Winston

HAPPY ONE MONTH AMPUVERSARY HANDSOME😎 I do hope you got some ice cream and cake, topped off with steak!😁

And I just saw your earlier blog where a very nice policeman helped you get unstuck under the bed! WOW!

The fact that Winston manages the stairs at all is quite amazing. Some dogs do though, so good for Winston. Being able to sleep with their pack is soooooo important important. I’m glad you and Winston are able to make this happen.

Keep these great celebrations coming Winston!! We love pasties around here!

    Extra hugs
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too
